La ciudad de Neuquén dio un paso clave para concretar una de las obras urbanas más ambiciosas de los últimos años. Este jueves, la provincia formalizó la transferencia de jurisdicción de la Avenida Mosconi (ex Ruta Nacional 22) al municipio, un trámite necesario para que la gestión de Mariano Gaido pueda licitar y ejecutar la renovación completa de los 14 kilómetros que atraviesan el ejido urbano.
La firma se realizó en el Ministerio de Economía, Producción e Industria, encabezado por Guillermo Koenig, y contó con la presencia del titular de Vialidad Neuquén, José Dutsch, y del secretario de Infraestructura y Planeamiento Urbano municipal, Alejandro Nicola. Con este acuerdo, la Municipalidad podrá avanzar con la licitación y financiamiento del proyecto, mientras que, una vez finalizadas las obras, la traza volverá a la órbita provincial.
El ministro Koenig explicó que la cesión responde a un pedido del municipio “para que la ex Ruta 22 pueda convertirse en una avenida urbana moderna y segura”. El gobernador Rolando Figueroa y el intendente Mariano Gaido ya habían firmado un acta acuerdo con Vialidad Nacional para iniciar este proceso de traspaso, que hoy se concreta oficialmente.
El secretario Alejandro Nicola destacó que se trata de una obra muy esperada por la ciudad. “Queremos resolver la problemática que genera la ex Ruta 22, que al estar elevada funciona como una represa los días de lluvia y provoca anegamientos. Por eso proyectamos construir un pluvial de gran capacidad y mejorar todo el drenaje urbano”, explicó.
Además, señaló que el diseño contempla cuatro carriles por sentido, con veredas más amplias, bicisendas, iluminación led y nuevos semáforos, en un corredor que se transformará por completo. “Buscamos una avenida mucho más amable con el peatón, con espacios verdes longitudinales y una arquitectura uniforme a lo largo de todo el trayecto”, detalló.
Según los cálculos municipales, las áreas verdes equivaldrán a 25 plazas de una manzana cada una, lo que convertirá a la Mosconi en un eje urbano con alto impacto ambiental y estético.
El proyecto ejecutivo ya fue elaborado y se divide en seis tramos. Las dos primeras etapas —que ya cuentan con financiamiento— fueron incluidas en el Presupuesto Municipal 2026. El primer tramo abarcará desde Linares hasta Gatica, una zona de fuerte actividad comercial, mientras que el segundo conectará el puente carretero con Primeros Pobladores, donde se construirá un viaducto en desnivel para ordenar el tránsito de ingreso y salida de la ciudad.
La Avenida Mosconi se extiende desde el puente carretero que une Neuquén y Cipolletti hasta la conexión con Plottier, atravesando la ciudad de punta a punta. Cuando esté finalizada, mejorará tanto la circulación longitudinal como transversal, integrando distintos sectores urbanos que hoy se encuentran fragmentados por la vieja traza de la Ruta 22.
“Habrá cruces al mismo nivel y una conexión más fluida entre barrios y avenidas. Es una obra pensada para la Neuquén que crece y necesita infraestructura a su medida”, resumió Nicola.
