El primer candidato a diputado nacional por Fuerza Patria en la provincia de Buenos Aires, Jorge Taiana, cuestionó duramente al presidente Javier Milei por los resultados de su reciente visita a Estados Unidos y su reunión con Donald Trump, al asegurar que el mandatario argentino “solo mostró sumisión y genuflexión” y que no logró “ni una firma ni un anuncio” de cooperación bilateral.
“Fue una reunión penosa”
En declaraciones a Splendid AM 990, Taiana calificó de “penosa” la falta de acuerdos concretos tras el viaje presidencial:
“Por lo menos lo que tenías que haber anunciado era que se iba a negociar un swap. Pero no hubo nada. Mostró sumisión y genuflexión, pero no tuvo ni una firma ni un anuncio para traerse después de ver a Trump”.
El ex canciller y ex ministro de Defensa también dijo no entender “la actitud de la delegación argentina”, porque —según explicó— “no aparece nada que firmar, nada que mostrar”. “Se suponía que iba a haber una reducción de los aranceles extraordinarios al aluminio y al acero, y nada de eso pasó”, agregó.
Críticas al alineamiento con Estados Unidos
Taiana consideró que Milei viajó a Washington “a buscar un apoyo político más que económico”, pero terminó “sin resultados y con una declaración contraproducente” del propio Trump, quien condicionó el respaldo norteamericano a que el gobierno libertario gane las elecciones legislativas del 26 de octubre.
“Es una forma de extorsionar a los argentinos. Además, desató una reacción negativa en los mercados, porque descuentan que el Gobierno va a tener un mal resultado”, señaló el dirigente peronista.
El candidato de Fuerza Patria sostuvo que el Ejecutivo “cometió un error grave al depender exclusivamente del apoyo de Estados Unidos”, y advirtió que Washington “anunció respaldos pero no concretó nada”.
Las declaraciones de Taiana se producen en plena recta final de la campaña electoral, luego de que Milei regresara al país tras una visita relámpago a Washington que incluyó su primera visita oficial con Trump en la Casa Blanca. El Gobierno había generado expectativas sobre un posible acuerdo financiero o comercial, pero el encuentro concluyó sin anuncios. Además, la reunión bilateral en el salón oval que se había anunciado, no se realizó.
El referente peronista bonaerense busca capitalizar el descontento con la gestión económica y presentar a Fuerza Patria como una alternativa “soberana” frente a lo que definió como “una política exterior subordinada a Washington”.
