El sector energético argentino registra un mes de fuerte actividad en Vaca Muerta. Según el informe mensual de Energía y Mercado de julio de 2026 elaborado por Regional Investment Consulting (RICSA), nuevos proyectos hidrocarburíferos avanzaron dentro del Régimen de Incentivo para Grandes Inversiones (RIGI) mientras el petróleo recupera terreno en los mercados internacionales.
Vista presentó el 21 de julio una solicitud de adhesión al RIGI para desarrollar Bandurria Norte, un proyecto de US$ 5.800 millones. La compañía planea construir 332 pozos horizontales y una planta de 40.000 barriles por día en el área de su propiedad al 100%, con el objetivo de alcanzar una producción de 50.000 barriles equivalentes de petróleo por día. Sin el RIGI, este desarrollo estaba previsto para 2030.
En paralelo, Pampa Energía llevó el proyecto Rincón de Aranda al RIGI por US$ 4.500 millones, convirtiéndose en el proyecto número 20 aprobado por el régimen. El desarrollo contempla exportaciones por US$ 17.000 millones durante 30 años y una producción de 45.000 barriles diarios en 2027, frente a los 27.000 barriles por día actuales. El RIGI acumula hasta el momento US$ 46.000 millones en inversiones aprobadas.
El oleoducto Vaca Muerta Oil Sur (VMOS), desarrollado por un consorcio de ocho petroleras, superó el 70% de avance al 28 de julio. La obra apunta a concretar la primera carga desde Punta Colorada entre fines de 2026 y comienzos de 2027, con una capacidad inicial de 180.000 barriles diarios. En tanto, Fértil Pampa, la planta de urea que Pampa Energía construirá en Bahía Blanca, también ingresó al RIGI por US$ 2.700 millones.
El superávit energético del primer semestre alcanzó US$ 5.950 millones, el mejor resultado para un primer semestre en una década. Las exportaciones de combustibles y energía llegaron a US$ 1.406 millones en junio, un 31,1% más interanual, impulsadas por precios que aumentaron 47,8% según datos del INDEC.
