El gobierno de Rolando Figueroa lanzó un plan plurianual para llevar gas de Vaca Muerta a todos los hogares de Neuquén. La iniciativa contempla más de 500 kilómetros de nuevas trazas de gasoductos durante los próximos seis años, además de ampliaciones de redes existentes. El objetivo es transformar la producción hidrocarburífera en infraestructura y bienestar visible en la vida cotidiana de los neuquinos.
Hoy, Neuquén posee una de las mayores reservas de gas del mundo, pero aún hay familias que se calefaccionan con leña o deben afrontar costos de sistemas alternativos para acceder a energía. La estrategia provincial busca cerrar esa paradoja bajo la premisa del gobernador: "el gas, primero para los neuquinos". Así, el recurso dejará de ser solamente un producto de exportación para convertirse en una herramienta de desarrollo territorial.
La Provincia diseñó una "escalera energética" que dará respuestas en lugares donde el gasoducto aún no puede llegar. En parajes pequeños se instalarán garrafones domiciliarios de GLP, mientras que otras localidades contarán con plantas de distribución y redes de GLP. El avance progresivo apuntará hacia el gas natural por redes troncales, sin obligar a las familias a esperar años para acceder a una energía más segura y económica.
El primer paso comenzará con una experiencia piloto en Sauzal Bonito, Quili Malal y Ruca Choroi, a través del programa "Hidenesa llega a tu casa". En paralelo, continuarán obras para extender el sistema de gas natural en el Alto Neuquén, Añelo y el corredor cordillerano. La planificación también contempla ampliar capacidad de redes existentes para anticiparse al crecimiento de Villa La Angostura, San Martín de los Andes y Junín de los Andes, además de avanzar hacia Aluminé y Las Coloradas.
La Provincia articula con Hidenesa, Camuzzi y TGS para ejecutar el plan. Las plantas de GLP podrán trasladarse a nuevas comunidades cuando una localidad logre conectarse al gas natural, lo que permite que la inversión no quede atada a una sola obra y multiplique su impacto social en el territorio.
